If you want to see the beautiful colors of fall come alive, there’s no better time than now to get outdoors and explore The Natural State! There are plenty of stunning trails nearby that you and your family can enjoy not only in the fall, but year-round. Take a look at a few of our favorite picks!

Whitaker Point

The Whitaker Point Trail, also known as Hawksbill Crag, is an out-and-back 2.9 mile walk with a gorgeous waterfall in Deer, Arkansas. The trail is rated moderate, and it’s known for its beautiful, scenic viewpoint and hawk’s beak-shaped rock formation. You’ll have the opportunity to look below at the amazing valleys and breathtaking scenery of the Buffalo National River.

Petit Jean State Park

Petit Jean State Park is a top pick for several Arkansans, and it’s easy to see why. Not only does the area have a lot of history, but the natural beauty of this state park is simply mesmerizing. There are a variety of trails to choose from, including the Bear Cave Trail, Seven Hollows Trail and Rock House Cave Trail. Your whole family will enjoy spending a day taking in the views and relaxing by the water in Morrilton, Arkansas.

Kings River Falls Trail

If you’re looking for a scenic hike near the water, the Kings River Falls Trail near Witter, Arkansas is an excellent choice. The 1.8-mile roundtrip trail is family-friendly and relatively flat, so feel free to bring your kids along for this one! It features a gorgeous waterfall and a spectacular view, especially in the autumn season.
