Are you feeling cabin fever due to COVID-19? It’s been a long winter, and a long year in general! Luckily, you don’t have to stay cooped up in your house all the time...there are several safe activities you can enjoy right up the road! It’s the perfect time to get out and enjoy nature before temperatures start heating up. Take a look at these beautiful hiking trails you’re free to explore while social distancing.

Whitaker Point Trail

One of the most popular destinations in Arkansas, Whitaker Point (also known as Hawksbill Crag) is a 2.9 mile trail located in Newton County. This gorgeous, scenic hike leads to a crag that resembles a hawk’s beak overlooking the stunning valley below. Be sure to bring a camera for this one!

Lost Valley Trail

This lovely 2.1 mile trail is located near Ponca, Arkansas and features natural stairs, a cave and a waterfall. If you’re looking for a moderate hike with plenty of natural beauty to enjoy, don’t pass over Lost Valley!

Seven Hollows Trail

The Seven Hollows Trail is located at Petit Jean State Park in Morrilton, Arkansas. It’s 4.4 miles and features a grotto, natural bridge, and plenty of running water to soothe you as you walk. While you’re in the area, be sure to check out the other trails that Petit Jean State Park has to offer!

Falls Branch Trail

This breath-taking 2 mile trail is located at Lake Catherine State Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It winds through the forest and leads to a spectacular seasonal waterfall. Enjoy the many cascades and bridges as you relax and escape daily life for a bit.
